Bruce Shimizu

Who We Are

Bruce Shimizu is a 4^th generation Sonoma County native and established Clearwater Homes in 2006 to provide housing opportunities for working families.

With over 20 years experience in land planning and housing in Northern California, Bruce understands the issues facing families priced out of the housing market, property owners saddled with monumental regulatory hurdles, and the community's desire to see that our limited resources are used wisely.

Through his efforts with Burbank Housing Development Corporation, Ecumenical Association for Housing, and his own development company, Mr. Shimizu has developed hundreds of homes in communities throughout Sonoma and Mendocino Counties.

He has also practiced Landscape Architecture with SEDES in San Luis Obispo and Royston Hanamoto Alley & Abey in Mill Valley. Bruce has a BS in Landscape Architecture and is a master’s candidate in Architecture from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
